The media loves a good scary shark story to incite fear in the public. Sharks have long been feared as a mindless man eating machines. As divers, the sirens know that when you are in the water, you are entering the shark's realm. While swimming with them, it is hard not to be in awe of these magnificent creatures. Even more important is that without sharks, we are ALL in serious trouble. Since it is Shark Week on Discovery Channel this week we are going to soapbox about it!
